The Cadillac name inspires many to think of several famous and iconic cars throughout history. Some of the most coveted historical vehicles are from Cadillac, and its concept cars are among the most well-known. Among these concepts is the Cadillac Sixteen concept, which has been around since 2003 and has inspired some of the new Cadillac in Tacoma.

The Sixteen concept receives its name from the 16 cylinders in the V16 engine under its hood. The engine is massive, boasting 13.6-liters, 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 lb ft of torque. This will help to attract viewers to the upcoming Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, where the concept will be seen.

Cadillac Sixteen Concept

It’s easy to see some of Cadillac’s current design inspiration in the Sixteen concept, which was originally built to showcase the automakers improved cylinder deactivation technology that fired only some of the cylinders during normal driving, but could activate all of them during acceleration.
